Hailey Started Pre-School

Hailey was so excited to ride the bus just like her big brother! The bus picks her up right at my door and then drops her off right at my door. I love that!

This is her meeting her teacher Mrs. Newby. She seems really nice, I'm sure Hailey will love her. I went to an IEP meeting for Hailey (a meeting where they talk about accommodations she might need) anyway, they put a bunch a books in braille and a braille type-writer in her classroom. She will have a teacher for the vision impaired teach her one-on-one for 20 mins. every week. They said that it would be good to introduce her to braille just in case the worst happens. Hopefully she'll never need it.

This is how Hailey watches T.V. ! I hate it when I see Hailey doing something like this because it reminds me how badly she sees.

Hello you!!! That breaks my heart to see her trying to watch t.v. like that. Sweet girl. What service you have with the bus picking Hailey up! I would love that. Thank you for your sweet words, I was wondering the other day if you had ever checked my blog. I am so glad you have one!

Hooray for Hailey and starting school! How exciting! I'm glad they have accommodations and are willing to help her. Then maybe she won't feel so out of place. That's great. I hope she LOVES school.

Yeah! She got Mrs. Newby for her teacher! She is great. Tell her that I said hi if you think about it! I'm sure that she'll like it there. Keep us updated how she does. A few years ago, I was the "Braille Translator" for the GPS district and I know most the people who work in the vision department. There's a lot of great people there who I know will be helpful. But I'm like you hoping and praying that she won't need it. You guys are still in our prayers! I miss seeing you guys! Thank goodness for blogs! Love ya!

Remember that you are all in God's hands. He loves you and hurts when you hurt. Life is difficult and challenging at best. You have an unbelievable amount of prayers being offered in your behalf-your whole family and the doctors. Hang in there. Smile all you can and enjoy life as it comes to you. All we can do is our best. Love, Lorrain Powell
